Rose RODD Hartwig

Rose Hartwig is a marketing executive with 20 years of experience building successful brands and business strategies for consumer and enterprise technology companies. She is the Founder and Managing Partner of consulting firm Marketing Fluency, where she works with executive teams at disruptive startups and Fortune 100 brands to drive awareness, engagement, and growth. Recent clients include Peloton, Google, Facebook, and hyper-growth startup, Cohesity.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Rose has worked with and advised companies across a diverse array of sectors–from mobile devices, IoT smart home, and media services to app platforms, data management, and security. Rose helps early- and mid- stage companies attract attention, build credibility, and drive revenue by developing strong brand positioning, go-to-market strategies, and customer acquisition plans. She hires key talent, runs agency searches, manages teams, and often serves as acting CMO. She has helped numerous companies successfully raise capital and position themselves positively for acquisition and IPOs. Rose also works with later-stage companies to enter new markets, launch new product lines, and reach new audiences.

Prior to starting her consultancy, Rose was Vice President of Corporate Marketing for Palm, Inc. (acquired by HP), where she was responsible for the marketing of smartphones worldwide. Rose graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Communications and received her MBA from The University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Rick Hartwig

Rick Hartwig is a marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience in leadership, high-tech marketing, and communications. Rick helps organizations develop deliver product and marketing strategies that drive results.

His deep technical expertise combined with a strong marketing background enables him to help companies with complex technologies and positioning challenges create impactful solutions with simple but powerful messaging.

Rick has worked with executives across the globe and with companies ranging from disruptive start-ups to industry heavyweights including Google, Motorola, VMWare, Asurion, AT&T, Palm-HP, Blackberry and more.

Rick has held positions of Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Corporate Marketing for small and mid-sized companies in the tech industry as well as acted as company officer during times of intense acquisitions. He led product-marketing strategy for the global Android product portfolio at Motorola and oversaw teams responsible for marketing all smartphones sold through AT&T and T-Mobile channels. In addition, before Motorola, he also led product management teams for more than 10 years at both software and hardware companies.

Rick received his MBA with a focus on organizational behavior and marketing from The Kellogg School of Management, his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The University of Illinois, and his degree as a Certified Professional Coach from the ICF-accredited College of Executive Coaching. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two young children.
